Italy stages play for Iran women in Tehran

Italian troupe is to stage a theater play at a women-only event in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The play will be organized at Tehran’s Baran Theater on May 2-6, 2017.

Performed by Italian artist Nathalie Mentha, directed by Pino Di Buduo and produced by Teatro Potlach, the play will be brought to the stage for women with a portrayal of French female artist Édith Piaf.

“The performance is a unique way to re-explore France during 1930s and 1950s with stories of artists, gangsters, World War II and more,” a theater festival online post read about the play.
